Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you visit our site, check out, or work with us.

This Privacy Policy is a template prepared for illustrative purposes. It should be reviewed and adapted by qualified legal counsel before you rely on it as your company's official policy.

Primal Growth Co. ("Primal Growth," "we," "us," or "our") operates primalgrowthco.com (the "Site") and provides digital marketing retainers, one-time service packages, and digital downloads (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you. By using the Site or purchasing our Services, you acknowledge the practices described here. This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly. Name, email address, phone number, company name, and project details submitted through our contact forms, discovery-call bookings, newsletter sign-up, or client onboarding forms.
  • Checkout and billing information. When you purchase a retainer, service package, or digital download, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not collect or store full credit card numbers on our own servers — Stripe collects your card details directly and shares with us only the information needed to fulfill your order (name, billing email, billing address, last four digits of your card, and transaction identifiers).
  • Account and client data. If you're an active client, we collect information related to the engagement itself: campaign assets, ad account access, analytics credentials you choose to share, brand guidelines, and communications with your account team.
  • Automatically collected information. When you browse the Site, we (through Vercel Analytics and standard server logs) automatically collect device type, browser, approximate location (city/region level, derived from IP address), referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on page. This data is aggregated and does not directly identify you.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We use a limited set of cookies and local storage for essential site functionality (e.g., keeping items in your cart) and for analytics. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to manage your preferences.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Services, including onboarding, campaign delivery, and reporting.
  • Process payments, issue receipts, and manage subscriptions and renewals.
  • Respond to inquiries, provide customer support, and send transactional emails (order confirmations, invoices, service updates) via Resend.
  • Send marketing communications you've opted into, such as our newsletter or promotional offers for new services and downloads. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve Site performance, security, and user experience.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, and recordkeeping requirements.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following categories of recipients, each acting under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations:

  • Payment processing: Stripe, Inc. processes all card and subscription payments on our behalf. Stripe's use of your information is governed by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
  • Transactional and marketing email: Resend delivers order confirmations, account notices, and (where you've opted in) marketing emails on our behalf.
  • Hosting and analytics: Vercel hosts the Site and provides privacy-focused, aggregated web analytics (Vercel Analytics does not use cookies for cross-site tracking).
  • Professional advisors: accountants, auditors, and legal counsel, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Legal and safety: where required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Primal Growth, our clients, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.

Each of these providers acts as an independent data controller or processor for the limited purposes described above, and each maintains its own privacy and security practices.

4. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies (to keep the Site functioning, including your shopping cart), and privacy-oriented analytics to understand aggregate Site usage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies to retarget you across other sites. Full details on cookie categories, purposes, and how to control them are in our Cookie Policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy:

  • Client and billing records are retained for the duration of the engagement plus 7 years, to satisfy tax, accounting, and contractual audit requirements.
  • Contact form submissions that do not convert into a client relationship are retained for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymized.
  • Marketing subscriber lists are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Analytics data is retained in aggregated or anonymized form and is not tied to an individual identity beyond standard industry retention windows.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws, including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA/CPRA"). These may include the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., records we must keep for tax purposes).
  • Port your data to another provider in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, including direct marketing.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information — Primal Growth does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA/CPRA.
  • Non-discrimination for exercising any of the above rights.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@primalgrowthco.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days). California residents may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on their behalf.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Services are intended for businesses and individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and reliance on payment and hosting providers (Stripe, Vercel) that maintain independent, industry-standard security certifications. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

Primal Growth is based in the United States, and the Services are hosted and processed primarily in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other countries where our processors (including Stripe, Resend, and Vercel) operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to legitimize these transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy with an updated effective date, and where changes are material, we will provide additional notice (such as an email or a Site banner).
