The five email flows every ecommerce brand should have live

Campaigns get the attention, but flows quietly do the work. These are the five automated flows we build first — and why.

Flows are your 24/7 salesperson

Email campaigns are one-to-many broadcasts. Flows are automated, triggered by behavior, and they run around the clock without you touching them. For most ecommerce brands, a small set of well-built flows drives a disproportionate share of email revenue.

The five to build first

  1. Welcome flow. The moment someone subscribes, they're the warmest they'll ever be. Introduce the brand, deliver on the sign-up offer, and set expectations.
  2. Abandoned cart. People who add to cart intend to buy. A timely, helpful reminder recovers a meaningful slice of that revenue.
  3. Browse abandonment. For visitors who viewed products but didn't add to cart — a softer nudge with social proof.
  4. Post-purchase. Turn first-time buyers into repeat customers with onboarding, cross-sells, and a review request.
  5. Win-back. Re-engage lapsed customers before you lose them entirely.

Deliverability is the foundation

None of this matters if your email lands in spam. Authentication, sender reputation, and list hygiene come first — always.

Build the flows once, tune them forever. They're the closest thing marketing has to passive income.
